Top 10 questions about EPAM Campus answered

25 May

We often hear from people who want to start a career in tech. From university students to experienced professionals exploring a career switch, many join our events and ask similar questions. To help you navigate your journey, we gathered the top 10 questions about education at EPAM Campus and provided comprehensive answers below.

What is EPAM Campus and are your IT training programs free?

EPAM Campus is our external learning ecosystem, developed in-house to equip learners in more than 20 countries with the structured knowledge and practical experience needed to launch a career in tech. Fully integrated with EPAM's business strategy, Campus combines adaptive assessments, industry-focused learning paths and expert mentorship. As practice makes perfect, project education is a core component of our platform, helping bridge the gap between essential theoretical foundation and real-market demands.
There is no application fee: all programs are fully funded by EPAM as part of our commitment to developing future tech talent and strengthening the global technology ecosystem.

What tech courses and training programs are available at EPAM Campus?

We offer educational opportunities in more than 20 popular fields. You can choose from various levels (basic, beginner, fundamentals and specialization) and formats, such as self-paced or facilitated learning. Our most in-demand directions include Data (Data Analytics Engineering, Data Software Engineering, Data Science), .NET, Java, Python, SAP Development, Cloud & DevOps, Software Testing (both functional and automated) and others.
We place a strong emphasis on developing AI engineering skills from the very beginning of your career. That is why all our training programs are heavily focused on AI coursework and hands-on experience. We primarily specialize in core engineering roles and do not regularly offer programs in disciplines like UI/UX design, business analysis or IT recruitment. For special programs or bootcamps in these areas, please follow our updates or subscribe to the skill you are interested in.

Do I need a tech degree or prior IT experience to join EPAM Campus?

You do not strictly need a university diploma, though a technical education is certainly an advantage. The exact prerequisites depend on the program level and requirements. You can find them listed in the program description. If you have no experience, we suggest starting with our basic or beginner courses. For our more advanced fundamentals or specialization programs, we look for candidates who are 18 years or older with baseline technical knowledge.
If you are unsure where to start, you can take the career test on our portal to find a direction that matches your strengths and natural abilities.

What level of English is required to study and become a junior specialist?

For most programs, you need a B1 (intermediate) level to comfortably master all educational material and participate in the final stage of your educational journey — project education — where you will likely work on a training project in an international team. However, certain programs require a C1 advanced proficiency. Please carefully read the program description and pay attention to the specific requirements.
If you don't feel confident communicating in English, you can explore the useful resources available on our blog.

How long do programs typically last and can I combine them with work or university studies?

Program duration varies by level. Basic programs usually take about two months and require up to 15 hours per week. Beginner and fundamentals programs run for two to three months and demand up to 20 hours per week. Specialization programs last three months or more, requiring up to 30 hours per week. Whether you can combine training with a job or university depends entirely on your personal circumstances, motivation and time management skills. If you can handle the weekly time commitment, you are welcome to participate.

How does the EPAM Campus entry assessment and selection process work?

The EPAM Campus selection process is designed to evaluate your current skills and match you with the right training program, while the exact steps may vary depending on the course level and format. It typically includes an online application through the EPAM Campus portal, an English assessment, and, for more advanced programs, technical tests or interviews with a mentor or training specialist. For beginner-level courses, you can often start learning without a selection process.
Please always carefully review the "What is required for training" block, as all the information about the assessment steps is there.

Can I see test samples or get individual feedback?

To ensure a fair evaluation for everyone, we do not provide sample tasks or disclose correct answers after a test. Since we receive a high volume of applications, we are also unable to offer individual feedback on assessments, coding tasks or interviews. If you do not pass, we encourage you to use the resources listed on the program page or visit our blog to improve your skills before trying again.

How can I apply for EPAM Campus programs and track course start dates?

You can explore open programs, review requirements and apply directly on the EPAM Campus portal. Remember that you must permanently reside in the country where the program is offered. If you do not see an open admission for your preferred skill, you can use our filter tools to subscribe to updates. We will send you an email notification as soon as registration opens.

Can I apply for multiple training programs at the same time?

We recommend selecting a program based on your preferred skill set and career goals. While you can technically apply to multiple courses, you can only enroll and participate in one if you are accepted into several. To help with your decision, consider using our career test and navigation test for more guidance. If you find another program you are interested in after starting one, please contact your training coordinators. They can discuss possible options with you individually.

Can I get a job offer from EPAM after graduation?

Yes, successful EPAM Campus graduates are frequently considered for full-time junior production roles. However, an offer is not guaranteed. It depends on your ability to meet specific technical requirements, demonstrate strong skills and the availability of open positions. At the same time, successful graduation does not oblige you to accept a job offer, nor are there any fees if you decline. You are free to choose your preferred professional path and apply your acquired knowledge in any way you wish.
