During the internship, you will gain a solid foundation in software engineering and statistics, develop practical data analysis skills, and learn core machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, and clustering. You will also be introduced to deep learning and neural network fundamentals.
After completing the program, high-performing participants may be offered further learning opportunities based on their performance, skill level, and available positions at EPAM.

Data Science
Data Science is a promising IT area that lies at the intersection of math, statistics, programming and domain expertise and helps get valuable data insights.
What is required for training:
- Knowledge of probability theory – Including definition of probability, conditional probability, Bayes theorem, expectation
- Command of statistics – Basic concepts, hypothesis testing, concept of likelihood, estimation of distribution parameter
- Understanding of basic optimization concepts and methods – Stationary points, Lagrange multipliers, gradient descent
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms – sorting algorithms, algorithm complexity
- Familiarity with Python fundamentals – especially NumPy and Pandas
How to get started?
- Register by June 8th. Register on this page. Once you fill in all the required fields and attach the CV, you will find the confirmation with more details in your mailbox or notifications tab. Specify your interest in this program in your profile's "Additional information" section. Please indicate the reasons for choosing this training and your expectations.
- Take an English test by June 6th, 09:00 AM. Take an English test available in your profile. You should complete it within 5 days after the registration (but not later than June 6th, 09:00 AM) and reach the B2 English level result or higher to proceed.
- Pass an entry technical test by June 6th, 09:00 AM. Pass an entry technical test available in the "My enrollments" section. You should take it within 5 days after the registration (but not later than June 6th, 09:00 AM) and reach a minimum score of 60% upon completing two parts of the test.
- Communicate with a recruiter. We will contact you within 1-3 weeks after you pass all tests to ask some general questions and guide you through the next steps.
- Complete an Online Technical Interview with our expert.
- Receive an invitation to the program. We will inform you of the enrollment results and share further instructions for your learning journey during 1-2 weeks after the technical exam. Please check your profile's mailbox regularly to make sure you get all important notifications.
